How to Create a Fun Foyer Beverage Station

What is the perfect way to start a party? Having your guests immediately feel welcome and comfortable. Nothing spells comfortable and welcome better than a drink!

First you must identify where to create your station. Start with immediately in-front of your front door and take a look around. Is there a banister, bench, table? I have a hutch when people enter specifically for this reason. If you have nothing of the sort, continue on into your next room and find a place there.

Next, create ambiance for your station based on your party. For the Tea Party, I made a little sign, had fresh flowers, and created a light pretty cocktail with "Drink Me" signs.

The "Drink Me" cocktail of course involved Tea. It was a huge hit. A welcome beverage should be fairly basic, bubbly, and light. Most anyone will like something like that. Check out the recipe here.

I also placed a name card station (one of my games) on the hutch next to the drinks so people immediately had something fun to do. Although not necessary, having a quick game or favor upon arrival may also be appropriate depending on your party.

That is all party people!
